What Is Flipping For Profit?
Flipping items is a fancy way to say buy and resell for more money.
You find an item that is worth X amount then you resell it again but with added profit.
There are hundreds of items out there that you can buy to resell for profit. The idea is that you look only at items that are undervalued or that you know you can easily fix up without having you do too much work to before reselling for more money.
The more times you can do this the more money you can potentially make.
I know some people like to think of this as a side hustle but in all honesty, this could be a full-time business if you take it seriously.

Buggys are so easy to flip. I have done it myself so many times in the past.
You only have to look out for a good deal and then its simple to resell.
Once a child has outgrown a buggy people start to see it as a bit of a nuisance because they take up a lot of space.
You will often find these at greatly reduced prices just so the person can get rid of it.
If you have a keen eye for these items it wouldn’t take much to buy and resell them.
Selling the accessories to go with it can also help.
I used to find all the different parts for a buggy online and build the buggy into a whole system with all the accessories making it much more appealing and command even more money.
I discovered that these would sell very quickly.

Who hasn’t looked on eBay for a console or a game before?
We’ve all done it.
Games tend to drop in value quite a bit once they are used and people will often sell them off quite cheaply once a newer version comes out.
Sometimes they will even sell the games in bulk trying to make the deal more attractive.
Well, the truth is that if you can have a little patience later on those items start to gain value as you can no longer buy them in the stores.
If you can hold out on this one eventually you will make some nice cash off it.
When you think about flipping for profit, a website might not come to mind immediately but believe me there is a whole world out there of website flipping.
You have to tread carefully with this one though because you have to know what you are doing before you go ahead and purchase one.
With the right knowledge, you can buy a website for a few hundred pounds, make some changes to it then sell it on for thousands.

6. Vinyl Records
There are some major vinyl record collectors out there that will pay serious money for the right record.
Vinyl is not made anymore so it is somewhat of a collector’s item.
With everything moving over to the digital age vinyl that you can feel and touch has a lot of appeal to some.
If I were you I wouldn’t be too quick to get rid of CDs either. It’s only a matter of time.
7. Front Doors
When we moved into our new home there were a few changes that we wanted to make to our new home.
One of them was a new front door.
We went to many well-known shops but couldn’t find what we were looking for unless we were willing to really hand out the cash.
I decided to try eBay in a last-ditch attempt and I found the most perfect door for a fraction of the price compared to what I had already seen in the big stores.
The more I looked I saw so many doors up for sale and I knew it could be a great business for someone.
If you find the right door and are willing to polish it up to look like new. You have a business right there on your hands.
People like to collect things.
Be it dolls that they had when they were younger or something that they just love. They love to collect it.

Where To Find Items To Flip
Some of the easiest places to find good deals are:
- Second-hand store
- Parents house
- Yard sales
- Freecycle – Where people give away items for free
- Local Facebook groups
You can also use some of these same places to flip the items too.
How To Flip The Correct Way
It’s important to understand what you are doing before you decide to buy an item to flip otherwise you could be out of pocket before you know it.
Here are a few tips to help you.
1. Understand What You Are Selling
Make sure that you have enough knowledge about the items that you want to sell.
I, for example, would not consider trying to sell car parts because I haven’t a clue about cars. I can drive one but that is the extent of my knowledge.
If I tried to buy car parts I would most certainly lose out because I don’t have enough knowledge of how much the parts go for or what is a rare find and what is not.
Before you buy anything make sure you are fully knowledgeable.
2. Make Sure You Understand The Costs
There are other associated costs when it comes to the buying and selling of items so you need to make sure that you understand what those costs are to ensure you get your money back once you sell.
Are there delivery costs involved in your purchase?
Do you have to invest a lot of money in order to bring the item up to par?
Will it be easy to resell and post?
Take all of these factors into consideration before you decide if something is worth it to you to flip for profit
3. Clean It Up If You Need To
This is so important.
The reason you are able to buy the item so cheap in the first place is probably to do with the ways it looks. If you want to be able to sell for more money then you will need to invest a bit of time into cleaning up the item to make it look as new as possible.
You may need to wash or dry clean something so consider that cost too.
Also, make sure that you take good pictures when its time to resell.
The difference between a good picture and a bad one can be worth a lot of money.
Make sure you have good lighting and that your photos aren’t blurry as well.
4. Have In-Depth Details Of The Item You Are Selling
When it comes to reselling people like as many details of the item as you can give.
The more details you list for the item the more chance you have of a sale.
Details mean knowledge and it could be the difference between someone scrolling past your item to the next or clicking the buy button.
People will always do what is easiest for them so make it as easy as possible to buy from you.
5. Always Ship In Good Timing
I can’t stress this one enough.
If you are going to sell do it in a timely matter.
Don’t wait one week to post after the person has made the purchase.
Things like this can go against you the next time you want to sell especially if you are selling on something like eBay where people leave comments about your service.
Final Thoughts On Items To Flip
These really are some of the easiest things to flip for profit.
If you want to make some quick cash this is the way to do it.
If you want to start a fairly low-cost business this is the way to do it.
Flipping items for profit can be major as long as you do treat it as a business and not be wishy-washy about it.
